Light Pink Blood After Urination. Lower Abdominal Pain. Had Period A Week Ago. Reason For Bleeding?
After urinating this morning I noticed light pink blood on toilet paper. It's been like that every time I have used the bathroom today. But now I have a mild lower abdominal pain on both sides. What could this be? I am not pregnant and just had my period a week ago.
Blood in the urine can have different possible causes. The most common are : (1) infection of the urinary tract (2)trauma (3) stones (4)blood disorder (5)inflammatory disorder of any aspect of the urinary tract- bladder, urethra, ureter, kidneys (6)cancer
You may want to consider visiting your doctor who would likely perform an in office urine tests checking for any evidence of infection, examine your abdomen.
If it is likely due to an infection then a urine sample would be sent to the lab and antibiotics would be started.
I hope this helps
