Light Short Periods, Sore Breasts, Dizziness, Nausea, Bloating. Negative Pregnancy Tests. Any Ideas?
Hi
The last two months I have been having very light short periods, I also have sore breasts, dizziness and nausea some days plus I generally feel bloated and have put on weight. i have had the odd headache also.I thought I may of been pregnant because I have had unprotected sex but all 4 tests have come back negative.
Please could you let me know what else this could relate to
Home pregnancy tests are usually accurate and are able to determine if a woman is pregnant from day 11 to 14 after conception. If you have completed 4 tests and all are negative , it is unlikely that you are pregnant but you can ask your doctor for a blood HCG level if you wish.
The other causes of light periods are: (1) the use of hormonal contraception (2)stress (3)extreme exercise (4)extreme weight gain or weight loss (5)asherman syndrome- this refers to the presence of adhesions or scar tissue within the uterus
You may want to consider an ultrasound to determine if there is any structural cause of the period change.
I hope this helps
