Little Bleeding After A Surgical Abortion At 7 Weeks Followed By Depo-Provera Shot. Did The Abortion Get Missed And How Soon Can I Take A Home Pregnancy Test?

Hi I recently had a surgical abortion at 7 weeks 3 days pregnant on December 20, 2013. My concern is I hardly bleed--just spotted a little if that. My breast are still sore, but no nausea and other pregnancy symptoms are gone. I did get the Depo-Provera shot right after. I am just wondering if I could still be pregnant, and some how the abortion was missed during the procedure? Another question is how soon can I take a home pregnancy test after an abortion and it not be positive?
Thank you,
Sarah

Hi. I think everything is fine. There should be no bleeding after surgical abortion, as your uterine cavity is thoroughly cleared by your dr.
However, if you have some doubt I will advise you to get one pelvic scan done, rather than urine test to confirm and be assured. It can be done right now also. No need to wait for any days, as it was surgical abortion.
Thanks.
