Long Lasting Periods, Sometimes Heavy With Clots, Never Pregnant, Never On Birth Control. Any Ideas ?

I am 28 years old, my period has been lasting way too long for the last year. I have it for two to three weeks a month non stop. And recently I've had it the last month and a half non stop. Sometimes it's heavy and has blood clots that are pretty big. I was never pregnant and have never been on birth control. I am overweight though - not sure if that even matters. Any ideas why it's like that?

Hi,
From your history it seems that your case requires evaluation.
There might be having some hormonal imbalance or having some problem with your genital tract and requires investigations.
Consult Gynaec and get examined.
As you are over weight, thyroid and diabetes should be ruled out as well.
Ok and take care.
