Losing Voice, Unusual Salivation, White Patches On Back Of Throat, Sore Throat. What Could Be This?

I have lost my voice, possibly to straining my vocal cords but not positive. More then usual salivating, white patches on back of throat, and I can possibly see 2 small dark purplish spots (not raised) on the roof of my mouth towards the back. My throat is mildly sore and a cough. Should I be concerned, or what could it be?

hi.. thanks for using HCM...
you are having sore throat, laryngitis(lost your vioce) and white patch in the pharyngeal region..
the cause for this white patch extending upto vocal card could be due to streptococcal infection/diphtheria/candidiasis.
you need to be investigated with throat swab examination and culture and put on the antibiotics or antifungals based on the results..
see your physician for this,
all the very best..
