Loss Of Consciousness, Head Injury, Tiredness, Light Headedness, Sexually Active. Causes For Symptoms?
I passed out and hit my head hard yesterday standing in my kitchen for no reason. I had just gotten done taking a nap and I also went to the plasma bank Wednesday. My menstral cycle begins in 3 days. I am sexually active also. Since the fall I feel very tired all the time. I m only 25 and 140 pounds and I don t do drugs. I also became lighteheaded before the incident but not enough to put me on the floor. Why do you think this is happening.
HI,
no worries. There are moments when we stand, especially when suddenly or after a tiring or stressful exercise, or when you stay sitting foir a long time and abruptly get up, less them can be given to your system to adapt rapidly to changes in position and blood pressure. This leads to a sudden drop in blood pressure and blood supply to the brain. This is called orthostatic hypotension or a blackout as commonly called.
It becomes disturbing or really pre occupyingif it really becomes very recurrent or accompanied by other unusual signs. However, its also worth noting that if you had not eating, low blood glucose levels called hypoglyucemia could produce similar symptoms.
Remain calm and watch. If symptoms become very recurrent or aggravate, you consult a cardiologist or neurologist. But as of now, be calm.
Thanks and quick recovery,
Luchuo, MD.
