Loss Of Sense Of Smell Along With Hypersensitivity To Some Smells. No Help From Prescribed Penicillin. Help

Can the loss of sense of smell cause hypersensitivity to smell. I do not smell ordinary things that others smell. I do smell odors in my house that others say they do not smell. I am seeing a doctor for the problem. He has subscribed a low dose penicillin twice a day for forty days. I am nearing completion of the medicine and haven't seen any change.

Hi, it appears to be due to abscence of sense nerves at some part of the nose, so you are anable to have the sense to some things, the nerves at other places might be active and so find their smell.
I advise you to consult an ENT surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Dont worry you will be fine with the treatment. Thank you.
