Lost Peripheral Vision For One Hour While Bowling, Headache. Cause?

Dr.Grief,
Tonight while bowling I lost the peripheral vision in my right eye. It lasted for about an hour and then returned. I had a slight headache also with this symptom, what might be the concern here? I am 51 year old white male, 6'2" tall and I weigh 221lbs.
Thank you,
Kevin Becker

Hi..
Thanks for the query..
Your symptoms are suggestive of migraine..
With migraine there will be visual symptoms like loss of field of vision and sometimes flashes of lights in front of the eyes...
Nothing to worry..
As a rule the visual symptoms come back to normal with relief from headache..
But a detailed ocular examination is better to rule out any other possible problems..
Hope this information helps you..Take care..
