Low Blood Pressure, High WBC Count, Dehydration. Bloating, Swollen Legs. Weeping Leg. Over Hydration?
My Mom, who is 89 yrs. of age, recently went into the hospital with symtoms including: low blood pressure , high white blood cell count and dehydration . They hooked her up to an IV, it seemed for perhaps 4 days. Now she is so bloated everywhere and her feet and lower legs are swollen. Now her right leg is weeping and it is soaking her slipper and towels which were wrapped around her leg. She is going to see her PCP tomorrow. Is she a victim of over hydration?

hii..
i can understand u r anxiety and ur care for ur mom,,.. what u said may not be due to overhydration as far as i feel .. coz looking at her age and her increased WBC, i feel she is having some infection internally which can be diagnosed only with some blood tests scan.. better u go for general check up of her entire body like scan abdomen, ecg, blood sugar and serum creatinine..
so go for the investigations soon..take care..
