I have a lump about the size of an egg about 3 inches above the bend of my elbow and on the inside portion of my upper arm (closest to my body) It just appeared one day it is painful to the touch. Only other thing I have noticed is an ache in my arm at the shoulder radiating down. and my hands have been going numb.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello.
Thanks for posting your query.
Without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of the lump. Possibilities that may need to be considered include lipomas, cysts, growths from underlying connective tissue etc.
This lump might compresses the nerve in its vinicity and is the cause of numbness and radiation of pain.
I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Wishing you good health
Regards.
