Lump Below Waist Line, Pain When Touched. Any Home Remedies?

Hi,
I've recently noticed I have a lump just below my waist line. It is not visible just blends in with my skin, but if I touch it it feels painful. The other day my boyfriend accidentally touched and I jumped because the painless so extreme and unexpected.
What might be the cause of this? I don't think it's an infection because I haven't had any infections.. Is there any way to cure this at home or will It go away on its own?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM,

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of the lump. Possibilities that may need to be considered include enlarged lymph node, lipomas, cysts, growths from underlying connective tissue etc.
I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) of lump under his/her guidance.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. K. Naga Ravi Prasad's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

A swelling which is tender to touch suggests an inflammatory cause. A direct clinical examination & appropriate investigations are needed to establish a diagnosis.

However, there are a few natural home remedies that are worth trying.
* Eat a diet composed of 75 percent raw foods, and drink plenty of herbal teas and juices (Aloe vera juice, Bilbery, Boswellia & turmeric) .
* Consume a fresh pineapple or fresh papaya daily. Pineapple contains bromelain and papaya contains papain, both enzymes that reduce swelling and inflammation.
* Eat foods high in flavonoids, which are powerful antioxidants and useful for inflammation reduction. Spinach and blueberries are excellent sources of flavonoids.

If your symptoms are not resolving with the above measures, consult your treating physician for further management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
