Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lump in my abdomen that starts at the left side of my navel and travels toward my left side and it's about 4 inches in length. I can only feel it while lying down on my back. I have no pain and the lump is not tender or sore. The lump remains there no matter how many bowel movements I have. My question is what could it possibly be and should I be concerned.
To determine the real nature of your lump, I would suggest to do an ultrasound of the abdomen as soon as possible.
There are many explanations to this lump including hernia, lipoma, hematoma or other concerns. I do not want to rush into the right diagnosis unless the ultrasound done.
