Lump Of Mucus On Throat, Loss Of Taste Of Food And Dizziness. What Is The Problem?
I have lost the taste of foods. Nothing has had a taste for about a week. I still have some sense of smell. The back of my throat feels like there's a lump of mucus and if I cough several times I can cough up a small amount of milky mucus. Saw the company nurse today my ears are clear, throat ok and nothing seems wrong with my sinuses. Last week one morning when I woke up I had to sit on the side of the bed for quite a while due to dizziness.
Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum. The loss of taste, mucous in the throat, and giddyness, all may be due to the common cold, sinusitis, and may be the middle ear infection. I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have C.T.scan for confirmation. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms erythromycin 500mg, phenylpropolamine, acyclophenac, and citrizine. Avoid taking fruits, juices, cool things like ice water, ice cream, etc, till you get relief. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery
