Lump On Buttocks, Sore When Touched. Diagnosed As Fatty Cyst. Advice?

Hi. My partner has a lump on her left buttocks near her hip area. She noticed it a month ago and it hasnt gotten any bigger. We seem to think it might fill up with fluid and "pop" and goes down and then fill up again. It gets sore when its touched a lot. It ranges from hard to soft. We did have our primary dr look at it twice and she said it was a fatty cyst. I just want to be sure.

Hi,
Thanks for writing here.
From the information you mentioned lump seems to be lipoma. It is a harmless condition.Do not try to rupture it.Ask her to control her weight.Lipomas can be removed by liposuction or surgical excsion. You need to consult a dermatolgist for this.
Hope this will help you.Take care.
