Lump On The Inner Part Of Leg. Cysts, Boils And Lipoma Ruled Out, Prescribed Antibiotic. Suggestions?
I found a lump on the inside of my left lower leg, righ above the ankle. It s not really hard, but its not very soft. I went to an urgent care since its the weekend concerned it may be a superficial blood clot. I had an ultrasound performed and the results were negative. I have no cuts, abrasions or bites any where near the area. I was given an antibiotic and sent home. They ruled out cysts , boils and a lipoma .
Hi, Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
After reading your query I can make out that the swelling is ruled out for the possibility of cysts, boils and lipoma . IN your query you have not told since how long you have the problem or any associated symptom. Many a times there appears a trivial swelling without any obvious cause and most of the times it is due to simple infections. Do not try to pinch or squeeze the swelling. Your doctor has wisely prescribed you a course of antibiotics. You just wait and watch, most of the swelling subsides by its own.
