Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

The most common cause of enlarged lymph node is an INFECTION in the surrounding area of the lymph node.

The infections could be bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic etc.

Lymphadenopathy (enlarged nodes) is also in various Immunological diseases, Hematological malignancies (like Hodgkins, ALL, CLL etc.

Hodgkins disease usually presents with ASYMPTOMATIC lymph node enlargement associated with Fever, weight loss, night sweats etc.

You need a thorough evaluation to know the cause of lymph node enlargement.

Consult your treating doctor for further workup and management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
