Lump Under Arm, Getting Smaller In Size, Tingling Sensation In Breast. Any Ideas?
I am a 44 year old white female. A month ago a noticed a lump under my arm. My doctor had me go for an u/s and mammogram. The Radiologist said that she wanted to do an aspiration biopsy on the lump. She thinks it is a swollen lymph node and wants to test it. The test will be this Tuesday. However, last week, the lump started getting smaller, and I had a strange sensation of almost a "seeping" of liquid into the breast on the same side. Now the lump is a little smaller, but for days have had a strange sensation in my breast (tingling...almost like milk being let down). Also my neck and upper arm on that same side feel tingly. What do you think?
Hi, Thanks for the query. According to your description the lump could be more possibly a lymph-node as told by your doctor. One rare possibility is accessory breast tissue. Because of inflammatory changes around the lump you may be having symptoms. By doing FNAC(Fine needle aspiration cytology) only the exact nature can be made out. Depending on the investigation reports further management can be planned. For more details you can ask me through: http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-sree-gouri-sr/63429 Take care.
