Lump Under Skin, Tender When Pressed. History Of Dog Bite. What Could This Be?
I was bitten by a dog and the dog has been vaccinated but not for years. It left somewhat if a scratch with some areas a little teeny but deep but far from a laceration. I applied peroxide and antibiotic ointment an now after about two weeks I ve noticed there is a lump under my skin that is tender if pressure is applied. Should I seek medical attention and what could this be?
You might have developed an abscess at the site of bite.
Dogs saliva contains many bacteria, You might have got infected by them.
It is necessary to do a culture from the lump to know exactly what is the cause.
Based on this exact antibiotic can be given to you.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis and treatment.
