Lump Under Testicles, Discomfort, Loose Scrotum, Vein Bulge, Pain In Groin. Is It Hernis?
Hello, I'm 17 years old and I've discovered a lump under my right testicle. It's sorta discomforting and was wondering what this could be. The only times I can feel it is when my scrotum is loose. My right testicle hangs lower than my left as well. Very scared about this, also is weird I have a big vein bulge on the bottom of the scrotum? I'm not sure if it's a hernia or not because I do gets pains in my groin. Please help me !
Hi, These symptoms are likely to be those of a varicocele. This is a swelling caused by dilated (enlarged) veins within the scrotum. It is not serious. In most cases, varicoceles do not require any treatment. There are several things you can do to help ease your discomfort. Take paracetamol for the pain. Wear tight-fitting, supportive underwear. If your varicocele is still causing you pain or discomfort, surgery may be recommended. It is normal for one testicle to hang lower than the other. I hope this has reassured you.
