MRI Done After Injury. Is Surgery Required For Rectifying The Problem?
i had an mri cause i had a work injury the mri said there is a bilateral l5 spondylosis with minimal anterior subluxation l5 on s1 broad basedosterior disc uncovering noted with possible component of posterior central and left para central broad based disc potrusion and osteophyte extending into the medial left foramen could you tell me what that means what caused that and does it require surgery
I am so sorry to hear about these findings and the accident you sustained. These findings are mainly suggestive of aging findings. Treatment is conservative with medications to control your symptoms. Only when the symptoms are uncontrollable with drugs and lifestyle modifications that surgery is considered.
For now, please surgery is surely not required unless your symptoms are suggestive of that.
