MRI Of Cervical Spine Done. What Are The Treatments Required?

MRI of cervical spine giving impression - degenerative disc disease with disc-osteophyte complexes atc5-c6 andc6-c7 level and left posterior paracentral protrusion of c6-c7 disc. There is bilateral neural forminal compromis at c5-c6 level and compromise of left lateral recess at c6-c7 level, causing compression of the spinal cord and exiting nerve root on the left side at c6-c7 level. Kindly sugggest treatment for this abnormality. severe pain occuring at back, lt shoulder and left elbow. Presently, ultrasound and intermittant cervicle tracton for 7 days recommended by spl.

Friend, It would have easy to explain the management, if you have told me the problems your facing now. By seeing the MRI results one cannot decide the management. Its the clinical presentation by which we can decide the treatment preferences. Is your cervical spine flattened?
Have you started with the exercises? Specially cervical stabilization exercises? Do you have any relief from US and ICT? If you are not getting relief then change the management. Please also consult a Neurologist if the pain s not resolving.
