hi I am Atul Malik recently daignosed from MRI shown : there is reduced L5-S1 disc space , diffuse disc bulge with left foraminal disc protrusion & left lateral Osteophytes is seen at L5-S1level causing mild thecal sac compression & left neural foraminal ... Please advice me the line of treatment & Thanks ...
hi.atul.your mri scans showing the cause of your back ache.it shows that you are suffering from slipped disc and lumbar spondylosis. the treatment for this problem is physiotherapy and life style modification at the current stage,but if you neglected it then the problem can be worse and you will be left with the only option of surgery.In physiotherapy ypu have to do isometric exercises,leg raising exercises,knee to chest and trunk rotations.in life style modifications you should avoid lifting heavy weights,avoid sitting for long period in the same posture,use lumbar support belt,sleep by your side and avoid exertional activities,drive carefully avoiding bad roads,prefer trains inspite of bus travel are some life styles that will help you with your problem.so stay healthy.
