MRI Report Shows Degenerative Disc Disease With Secondary Canal Stenosis. USG Report Says Slip Disc. Cure?

how to manage this situation?plz tell me....skiagram showing spina bifida occulta of s1 vertibra. there is also reduction in the interveribral disc space between L5 and S1 vertibra. MRI report on 15.09.2005....degenerative disc disease with secondary canal stenosis, effecting at L4-S1 level. U.S.G. report on 05.10.2012....slip disc.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You have degenerative disc disease with canal stenosis.
This is causing you problem.
Treatment is either physiotherapy or surgical.
Long term prognosis is same in both the modalities.
Other pain relieving procedures are ozone ablation and radiofrequency ablation.
Besides this, you shouldn't lift heavy objects and don't lean forward.
You have to strengthen your back muscles.
If pain is debilitating ,surgery may be last resort.
Get well soon.
