MRI Shows Koch's Infection. Negative Biopsy. Prescribed Combutol And R-Cinex. Right Treatment?
My wife has been dignosed with Kosch s infection in the MRI report. Accordingly, biopsy was done to know whether it is TB or not? The biopsy result was negative....however few gram stain was found....the doctor reviewed the MRI report and confirmed it as TB.....The medicine preferred are Combutol-1000, R-Cinex, 600; PZA-Ciba 750, Benadon.......it the treatment going in the right path?
The treatment is completely right as per her weight if its more than 45 kg. However the MRI report is very sensitive for diagnosing kochs infection of the spine. The biopsy gram stain may be negative but wait for the Tb culture report that you will get after 6 weeks
