MRI Test Done, Shows Loss Of Normal Lumbar Lordosis, Disc Degeneration, Disc Bulge, Nerve Root Compression, Grade One Spondylolisthesis. What Does This Indicate?
Could you please explain this MRI Results? In the lumbar region there is loss of normal lumbar lordosis . At L4-5 the disc is degenerative with loss of signal in keeping with dehydration. There is a broad based posteria disc bulge. This is causing moderate anterior thecal effacement Of the level of the emerging L5 nerve root but there is no convincing nerve root compression. At L5-S1 there is grade one spondylolisthesis . There are bilateral L5-S1 pars defect. There is an adjacent bone oedema. There is a pseudo disk bulge.

SPNDYLOLISTHESIS IS SPLIAGE OF ONE vertebrae OVER ANOTHER. YOU HAVE THIS BECAUSE YOU HAVE PARS DEFECT MEANS A PART OF THE .VERTABRAE BODY WHICH GIVES STABILITY TO SPINE IS NOT WELL DEVELOPED
