Male Feels He Is Pregnant. Positive Pregnancy Test. Abdominal Pregnancy Possible?
Hello i wanted to know an answer to this very odd question. If a male in his teens who is of perfect health no medical problems whatsoever believes for whatever reason he is actually pregnant and goes to buy a pregnancy test and the test is positive does that mean that the male has an abdominal pregnancy seeing as he doesn t have a womb?
I read through your problem description and am sorry to say that this could be absurd. Pregnancy test is looking for the presence in a woman’s urine of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). It’s produced when an embryo has attached itself to the lining of the uterus.
As men do not have an uterus and he cannot become pregnant, there is no need to go for a pregnancy check.
Don't get alarmed, You should read the article at http://www.minnpost.com/second-opinion/2012/11/young-man-takes-pregnancy-test-and-discovers-he-has-testicular-cancer. Just have a check up with a physician.
Hope I am able to clarify your doubt upto an extent. Available for further queries. Good luck.
