According to my orthopedic surgeon, while examing my right shoulder recently for certain symptoms I was experiencing, noticed a mass under my left bicep, which he stated could be a fatty tumor, a condition I have had for over twenty years thinking that my left arm was developing muscle, since I work out at a gym on a regular basis, rather than a tumor. I have had absolutely no discomfort or pain during the period I've had this condition (tumor?). Is this condition serious? How is it treated? What type of specialist should I consult? Is invasive surgery necessary? Are there alternative treatments other than sugery? Any other recommendations you can suggest would be appreciated. I reside in the Boynton Beach, FL, area and if you can recommend a specialist in this area, it would also be appreciated.
