Medication For URI With Sinusitis With Oral Temperature And Productive Cough
I have had a URI with sinusitis for about 5 days with a cough(productive) and have an oral temp of 95.6. I took my temp without having had any tylenol or advil products for at least 18 hours, and did not have a drink prior to taking my temp. I also have some general achiness. Thank you
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain it seems like viral infection causing the above explained symptoms and you need not to worry about it. You can take antibiotics like Augmentin or Azithromycin for 5 days. Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen should be taken. Decongstants like Pseudoephadrine [sudafed] will educe congestion. Mucolytics like Ambroxol will loosen the phlegm and help in easy removal. Use saline nasal sprays. Steam inhalations and using a cool mist humidifier in your room will relieve.. Take sufficient rest and drink plenty of water..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
