Metal Like Smell, Taste In Mouth, Reflux Suspected. Medicine Ineffective. Should I Be Concerned?

I have the constant smell that others have described (metal like) but it is also accompanied by a taste in my mouth. I have been dealing with this for over a year and have just become accustomed to it. I did mention it to my doctor and she thought it could be reflux. I did the 14 day medicine but had no results. I am learning to just live with this but am wondering "should I be more concerned?"
