Metal Like Smell, Taste In Mouth, Reflux Suspected. Medicine Ineffective. Should I Be Concerned?
I have the constant smell that others have described (metal like) but it is also accompanied by a taste in my mouth. I have been dealing with this for over a year and have just become accustomed to it. I did mention it to my doctor and she thought it could be reflux. I did the 14 day medicine but had no results. I am learning to just live with this but am wondering "should I be more concerned?"
Dear, As per the history and clinical picture you have elaborated smell or bad taste may be due to some infection in Upper respiratory tract, like sinusitis or tonsillitis. This is one of the very common clinical presentation and often overlooked. you need to consult the ENT surgeon and tell all the problems . ENT surgeon may relook and change the line of treatment.
