Mild Delayed Concussion, Headache, Feeling Hot. Previous Head Injury. Should I Be Concerned?
Hi my son is 5 at the end of July and he had a mild delayed concussion last Tuesday (really bad headache and sleepiness on the Wednesday afternoon) due to a head injury at kindergarten. I did call Nurse on call re this and they said he'd have a headache for 2-3 days post trauma. He has complained of some headaches but in the last week he keeps telling me he is really hot. I've tried to turn off heaters and take clothes off as it coming into Winter here in Australia, and he doesn't have a fever at all. Is there any cause for concern or what may be making him feel like this?
concussion of head is a type of minimal brain injury.it may show its manifestations for variable time. symptoms may be headach, irritability, altered behaviour ,dull behaviour etc.
The keep on feeling warmth may be a manifestation of irritability. The treatment for such condition is symtomatic.which means drugs for headach and some sedative.
