Minimal Infiltrates In Right Epical Region. Is It Koch's Infection And Can I Travel Abroad?
hello dr. Dinesh Goyal and have a good day! this is lloyd obejero. i had my x-ray today(november 16,2013) and i got my result right away.I was shocked and made me cry cause it found out that i have a minimal infiltrates that are seen in the right apical region/ right apical region infiltrates, probably koch's infection in etiology. Should I be worrying about this? could it be curable? is it closely mean to tuberculosis?....I should go abroad on the first week of December this year, is it possible that I can go abroad even if i have this kind of condition? my dr. says that I am medically fit to work upon management discretion. please do answer and help me DR. Dinesh Goyal...thank you and have a good day..
Right apical infiltration is basically seen in tuberculosis infection. It does not necessarily mean active infection. The infection could be dormant if you are having no symptoms. The diagnosis can be confirmed by sputum examination and pcr testing. Do not worry tuberculosis is one of the disease which is 100% curable. If you are going abroad for employment, the permission depends on discretion of the employer.
Wishing you a healthy life
Take care
