Minor Stroke, Pain And Numbness In Left Arm And Leg, Bruising In Inner Thighs. Taking Coversyl Plus. Cure?

I had a minor stroke one month ago. Since then I have had pain and numbness in my left arm and leg as well as joint pain. I also just noticed small bruising in my inner thighs. I went back to work almost immediately and an wondering if the pain is aggravated by the fact that I am standing and walking 10 hours a day while at work. I am on Crestor and Coversyl Plus, and was just taken off Plavix after a month.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

One- sided body pain could be due to the minor stroke, especially if specific areas of brain such as thalamus or parietal lobe were affected in the stroke.

In this situation, medications such as pregabalin capsules would be useful.

Prolonged standing could contribute to this pain.

Regarding plavix, I feel it should be taken for long term, as part of secondary prevention of stroke, as a person who has had a stroke earlier, has a higher risk of getting stroke in the future.

Please discuss these issues with your doctor.

Wishing you good health,
