Mirena Coil. Can I Have An Infection?

I m 33 and had a mirena coil fitted 10months ago. I ve now been bleeding for two weeks and its dark brown sludge. Could I have an infection? Thankyou.

thanks for choosing health care magic.Bleeding for 2 weeks in not usual even with mirena.Please see your doctor and get your self examined.there is some other reason for bleeding.You need a examination and ultrasound as per your doctors advise.Usually in case of infection one get lower abdominal pain and fever.
