Mom Who Is 89 Years Is In The Hospital Again

Mom who is 89 years is in the hospital again for recurring UTI. The pharmacy did a culture and determined after several days of using ceftriaxone intravenously that her culture is susceptible to vancomycin as treatment. The doctor is undoing the pharmacy order because they want to discharge mom to post-acute car, where they will not deal with an IV. This is the 5th UTI since the first of the year, and every time it was treated with Cipro. Should I appeal her discharge orders that are pending?
