Movable Lump In Nose Due To Sports Injury

My friend elbowed me in the nose during basketball about 2 days ago. It is swollen a bit . My question is 1) how long until my nose returns to it s normal size?, and also....2) when i put a finger on the left side of the bridge of my nose, i feel this little small lumpy thing in my nose under the skin ...i can move it around a bit..it is very small and very thin...what is it?

hi welcome to heaalthcare magic, sports injuries are very common and nose jaws are very common due to its pronounced projections, well with the details to have stated it could displaced fractured bony segment, swelling will come down in 4-5 days time but it is best you see a ENT or oral maxillofacial surgeon who can examine you and let you know and if nasal fracture then can be treated better, sooner the better, and check whether it is painful on touching any part around the nasal bridge and do you feel any movement in that region. all the best and wishing you a early recovery.
