Muscle In The Middle Of The Chest. Taking Medicines For Cholesterol And Low BP. What Is The Reason?
I think that I pulled a muscle in the middle of my chest while on vacation last week. The pain is subsiding, but I don't know how it happened. I am a white female, 58 slightly overweight, take medication for cholesterol, but have a very low to normal blood pressure. It is right in the middle of my chest, but mostly on the left side.
Hello, Thanks for writing in. After reading through your details, and that the pain is subsiding, you might have encountered a muscle spasm. Muscles spasm occurs when there is sudden inadvertant muscle use, it might have occurred with you unintentionally. If pain is not severe, applying a muscle relaxant locally will suffice. If pain is bit severe, you may take oral painkillers provided you do not suffer from gastritis and renal disease and that also preferably under supervision of your doctor. Hope this helps.
