Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 15 year old daughter was diagnosed with one of the milder forms of Caudal Regressive Syndrome diagnosed at about 12 years old. She will soon be having surgery on her feet...toes. She has to schedule regular trips to the bathroom for emptying bladder and bowel. She has no or very little pelvic bone. She has tumor on kidney having regular checks for that. She also suffers from severe asthma and misses lots of time from school. Very intelligent and physically active...MVP goalie for lacrosse. Is having a baby something she is not likely able to do when she is older? Is her expected lifespan a lot less than for a healthy young person? Also I am her Mom...have Type 1 Diabetes.
