My 41 Yr. Old Husband Was Diagnosed With High Blood

My 41 yr. old husband was diagnosed with high blood pressure in June 2015 with an average of 160/97 he was prescribed 10mg lisinopril a day. In July it was raised to 20mg a day. On June 22, 2015 he had sudden symptoms of blurry vision, profuse sweating but cold to the touch, extreme shaking and vomiting. Now this has happened again this past weekend. When the symptoms started his BP was 138/72 and I also checked his blood sugar it was 128. After these symptoms lasted for about 3 hours then all of a sudden he felt back to normal. Last night his BP was 170/100. What could be causing these symptoms and now a sudden spike in his BP? Thank you for your help
