My 5 Yo Granddaughter Was Just Diagnosed With Septo Optic

My 5 yo granddaughter was just diagnosed with septo optic dysplagia. Is this a progressive disease? She seems like a normal 5 year old has met all milestones starts kindergarten in fall. Does have some lower left side abnormalities such as what MDs call chicken wing, banana foot and twisted thigh bone which she will be having surgery. What should we expect?
