My Mom is 97 and is in hospice. She is on coumadin and has suddenly developed severe pain in her hip. 5 years ago her hip was fractured and surgically repaired with a plate and screws. The hospice nurse thinks she could be bleeding into the joint due to coumadin. What would be the best non-narcotic way to manage her pain?
