My brother has been suffering through psychiatric problems for the last 8 years now. The first pyschiatric diagnosed it as OCD. The 2nd doctor said that it is ADHD. Now we have changed the doctor n he feels that it might be bipolar disorder.
My brother has tremendous mood swings with extreme violent phases. He doesn't live a normal life . he is just 22. The doctors are of no help they just give the medicines but there seems to be no resolution in sight. He is currently taking arip, zicam n topaz.
I want to know if Dr. Neville misquitta in Pune is a reliable pyschiatrist. And can a person with bipolar disorder live a normal life? He keeps talking of suicide and murdering someone (not anyone in particular) and wishes to run away abroad...
We don't know what to do next. Should we admit him in a care center ? Will it help? What should be done? We are very disturbed. Please advise.
