Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My father in law is relatively young - 66 and has developed some issues over the past few years. We noticed something pronounced happened about 4 years ago. He seemed to slow down and began to shuffle his feet. His reflex and coordination (mainly when driving) seemed to not quite be right and his speech has gotten very, very quiet. Now he barely picks up his feet when he walks, seems to have a hard time getting around and doing things and has recently fallen when trying to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. He took a head first nose dive. My mother in law noted he wasn't talking much during a family gathering because he was slurring his words. How can I help them. Father in law says he is perfectly healthy - just getting older. He's not that old!
