My Granddaughter Had A Baby That Was Born Premature And

My granddaughter had a baby that was born premature and they done a stool test on the baby and claimed that the mother was an alcoholic because the stool sample had high contents of alcohol in it. They said the normal was 300 and the babys stool was at 4700 for alcohol. We would like to know how that can be the truth as my granddaughter doesn't drink alcohol. She hates it. Also if the levels was at 4700 wouldn't the baby have died?

Thank you for asking!
The question is quite vague and quite surprising. I never heard of a premature baby's stool as a marker for a drinking alcoholism of the mother considering the short half life of alcohol and most of its metabolism in liver of the mother. Recheck with your paediatrician and make things clear with them.. There might be a misunderstanding merely.Or do enlighten me otherwise.
take care
