My Heart Seems To Stop Beating For A Second, I

My heart seems to stop beating for a second, I also have a lot of gas and belching. I checked my pulse on my blood pressure machine and it would beat and then the light would stay on for a second and then continue. My pulse was 52 I took it again and it was 57.. I went to my GP and and he asked if I was on a beta blocker I was but my cardiologist took me off because it slowed my heart rate to the high 40s. I had a heart attack 2 years ago. My GP said it could be a virus and come back in a couple it it continues. I get angziaty whe this happens. I just retired and changed insurance and don't have a cardiologist at the moment. my GP Specializes in internal Medicine and said I don't need to see a cardiologist since my heart attack was over 2 yrs ago? What do I need to do.
