My Husband Had A CT Scan Today To R/o Kidney

My husband had A CT scan today to r/o kidney stone. Went to the doctors due to mild L flank pain, had microscopic hematuria. CT negative for stone, but front and top of bladder wall thickened, 7mm. told to see a urologist now. What could cause the thickening? He does not have any urinary complaints or pain. nNo blood that he can see.
