My Husband Threw Up After Taking A Cup Of Pepto Bismol. Should It Be Concerned?
my husband thought I said take a cup of pepto bismol, instead of a tablespoon....that was 3 hrs ago. He just threw up, looked like it was all the pepto bismol......he took it because of diahhrea all day....should i call an ambulance? He says he feels much better since he threw up

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Normally one can take up to 8 doses of Pepto Bismol in a day, however taking overdose may lead to toxic effects. Vomiting was because of a high dose which he took, if there is no other symptom other than vomiting there is no need to call an ambulance.
However, if symptoms like muscle spasm, ringing in your ears, dizziness, confusion, severe headache, problems with speech or vision and severe stomach pain arise, then immediately go to ER. For diarrhea take lots of fluids with added rehydration solution. Consult a doctor if it does not subside within 2 days or get worsened.
