My husband was told Monday that he has a malignant tumor , esophageal cancer, in middle 3rd and lower 3rd of his esophagus. He has adenocarcinoma in middle 3rd and squamous cell carcinoma in lower 3rd of esophagus. We are in shock and don't know where to turn. The dr. that did the endoscopy last Thursday suggested we use dr. Jeremiah Boles for our oncologist and I want to make sure we have the best. I'm sure dr. Boles is an excellent dr. but I need to make sure he is the best since the cancer seems to be at an advanced state. Could you a PLEASE suggest someone or if he is the best that is awesome but I want to make sure he has the best chance of beating this. We have never had experience with this before from his family or his family and I need to make sure I am doing the best for him I can. We have been married for 40 yrs and started dating at age 13 yrs of age. Please help me make a decision on the most important decision I have ever made in my, (our) lives!!! Thank you in advance for your help!!! He has gone on disability so we can concentrate 100% on making him get well so if we need to travel please let us know. I am willing to do ANYTHING to help him beat this!!! Thx again!!!!
