My Mom Recently Was Hospitalized Due To Diabetic Ketoacidosis And

My mom recently was hospitalized due to diabetic ketoacidosis and pneumonia. She is 61 with a history of type 2 diabetes. When she got sick she stopped eating due to vomitting and lack of appetite and strength. When she was hospitalized she was having trouble breathing. Now three days later after being extubated and off propofol her memory is groggy. She was weaned two days ago now of propofol but is still kind of confused and tired. Is this normal. She thinks she is 65 and thought I was being funny when I told her she was only 61 turning 62 tomorrow.
