What Causes Diabetic Ketoacidosis After Taking Cefdinir?
I recently developed Diabetic Keto-acidosis after taking Cefdinir for a bacterial infection. Sugars went to 375+ and I ended up in the ER on IV fluids. I take metformin 1000mg x2 daily and glimeperide 4mg x2 daily. What interactions could have occurred?

A patient of mine had quadraplegia after eating a taco.
Personally, I think it was because of the head on collision he had because he was eating it while driving. Similarly, infections cause ketoacidosis, not antibiotics.
