My Mom Was Bitten By A Snake When She Was A Sleep
Hi, My mom was bitten by a snake when she was a sleep she didn't realize it was a snake and went in for medical care only about 48hrs later. The doctor prescribed some anti-biotics its been about a week since the bite and her leg still hurts and the bite area is black. What can be done ?

It looks like a local tissue necrosis due to infection or the venom. Do not worry about any untoward consequences. If your mother is a diabetic, be in close supervision to your doctor and the area may require some minor surgical removal. Otherwise, just monitor, if it progresses, get it examined. It may take another couple of weeks to settle.
